Socrates V Parents' Committee

Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Greece visits Socrates V campus. On November 18th 2006, The Parents' Committee of Socrates V, was pleased to organize a wonderful reception for Mr. Theodore Kassimis ,Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Of Greece. Mr.Kassimis was joined by members of the Greek Consulate, members of the Greek Embassy and members of the HCM. Our guests were treated to a continental breakfast, a performance from our choir and a tour of our campus. The Parents' Committee presented a copy of our choir's "greatest hits CD" to Mr. Kassimis. Mr. Kassimis presented a bilingual copy of "The Sculptures of the Parthenon" and a DVD set commemorating the 2004 Athens Games. Both items will be placed in our Library for our students to enjoy.

Our guests were greeted by our drum core and flag bearers.


Our choir was impressive. They sang several tunes including a trilingual version of "I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus" Thanks to our choir instructor, Mr.Dimitris Ilias.


Mr.Kassimis visited several classes.

The parents' committee was pleased to sponsor our grade six student's Halloween display, on Friday October 28th. Our grade six students dressed in great costumes, turned our library into a haunted house and set up four activity kiosques. Each class enjoyed a tour of this very entertaining display. A special thanks to our grade six teachers , Mme Marie Noel and Mme Peggy, for inspiring our students.
